Crazy-Insane Person Jim McCann on ‘The Price is Right’

One of the great things about the comic book industry is how unpredictable it can be. The personalities involved with making comics are often colorful and unique individuals. In the over 10 years of iFanboy, we’ve met many of these colorful personalities, have heard crazy stories and we’ve even been lucky enough to even witness some of the unpredictable events. I don’t want to go as far to say that we’ve seen it all, but we’ve seen nearly all of it. But as of yesterday, we witnessed something we never thought we’d see and now we can safely say we’ve seen it all.

Eisner award winning Comic book writer Jim McCann (Return of the Dapper Men, Mind The Gap) was a contestant on The Price Is Right.

Yes, you read that correctly. The Price Is Right. The game show. With Drew Carey. We can’t even make this up.

When we first interviewed Jim McCann years ago, his excitement and energy when talking about his comics work led to the nickname “Crazy-Insane Person Jim McCann,” and boy did he live up to that on The Price Is Right.

If you missed it, you can watch it online at CBS.com and join us in cheering Jim, who got called to “Come On Down!” Did he win riches and prizes? Did he make it to the showcase showdown? Watch and find out. We promise you it will be entertaining.

  8. I don’t know why, but this made me appreciate Mind the Gap even more.

  9. This was so damn entertaining. I might not be a fan of McCann’s work but he is definitely a fun guy to watch and listen too.

A classmate of mine from college got on the show a few months ago too. He won a new car, unlike McCann, and now he lives in California and works for NBC….So jealous of him.
