Here is how “The Odyssey” is described:
After Oliver (Stephen Amell) is shot, he turns to a surprising person for help — Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). Diggle (David Ramsey) is stunned when he sees Felicity walk through the front door of the lair dragging a dying Oliver behind her, and the two team up to save Oliver’s life. As Oliver (Stephen Amell) hovers between life and death, he flashes back to a seminal event on the island — a daring escape attempt with his new friend Slade Wilson (guest star Manu Bennett).

I agree 100%. Really great actor and looking to see what they do with the character.
I’ve been sucked back into the show. Tons of cool references to the comics (Slade, Wintergreen, Fyres, Slade’s sone Joe), and a nice, cohesive story. Fun TV.
This mightve been the best episode of the season in my opinion. Cant wait to see more Slade- Ollie training. And its good that ollie has his lucious fox now

Easily the best episode yet. There is so much Manu Bennett goodness these days it’s awesome.
The camera lingered a bit on the shoulder of Yao Fei’s daughter which had a tattoo of dragon. I wonder if she well turn out to be Arrow’s version of Roulette who, if I recall, also has a dragon tattoo. Anyhow, this was easily the best episode of the series thus far despite a few minor nitpicks.
Actually, her name is Shado. She first appeared in the GA: Long Bow Hunters mini-series. Do yourself a favor and check this book out. You won’t be disappointed.
I’m super-psyched that the show has FINALLY brought her into the mix. Really looking forward to her role on the show. She’s a total BADASS!
Ah, I knew I should have read that book sooner! I’ve always liked Green Arrow but I haven’t read too many books where he’s the star. My cousin currently has the entire mini-series but doesn’t want to give it to me until she reads it, which she hasn’t done. She’s had the books for years now! I’m gonna have to bug her to finally give them to me.

Long Bow Hunters is amazing, I read it after seeing it mentioned in one of the “Where Do I Start” list on here. Highly recommend it.
