Today on the Oni Press blog, the much anticipated and final chapter to the Scott Pilgrim saga was announced. Volume 6 of the uber-popular indie series, slated to be adapted in a movie starring Michael Cera which comes out in August, will be called:
SCOTT PILGRIM VOL. 6:
SCOTT PILGRIM'S FINEST HOUR
The new, and last volume will be 248 pages, cost $11.99 and be released on Tuesday, July 20th 2010.
(that date, if you're playing at home, is the day before the San Diego Comic Con starts and a few weeks before the movie comes out)
Obviously, Bryan Lee O'Malley is excited, stating on the blog post:
"It's been quite a ride, and I couldn't have gotten here without the support of the fans and the retailers," said O'Malley. "It feels great to be in the home stretch, and I think this is going to be the best Scott Pilgrim book ever!"
Needless to say, we're equally excited, both to see how the story resolves as well as for the movie to be released and hopefully become a hit, exposing even more people to awesomely fun world of Scott Pilgrim.

I’ve been thinking about gettin into this. Knowing the last volume is about to come out as well as the movie, I think i’ll give in and start catching up, hopefully in time for the last one. Curious if it’ll live up to the hype.

Pretty much the best thing ever
I bought the first trade and it just wasn’t for me. Gave it to my neice and she ended up getting be to buy her the other four volumnes for her birthday. I think I am just old. 🙁
It will be a great day aswell as a sad day when Scott Pilgrim is all through. Lets see if its all sad like the last Y the Last Man trade was. When the monkey died… a piece of my soul died.
I’m looking more forward to this final volume and movie than I am something else that’s really exciting in my near future. I ain’t kiddin.
