August 29, 2013 8:52 pm Looks like @Neb nailed it! It is included in this sumptuous edition. http://shop.idwpublishing.com/art/artisteditions/best-of-ec-artist-s-edition.html
August 28, 2013 1:56 pm That story, called "Judgement Day," was written by Al Feldstein for Weird Fantasy. However, Child of Tomorrow only collects from the 18 months of Feldstein's work on the series, so the story isn't in here. Hopefully Fantagraphics will put out a second volume with more of his work! For what it's worth, the story was originally in Weird Fantasy 18 in 1953, and then reprinted in EC's Incredible Science Fiction 33 in 1956. I'm not sure if it's reprinted in any of the EC Archive books. If you're just interested in reading the story, a color scan of its seven pages is available here; http://asylums.insanejournal.com/scans_daily/54803.html
July 31, 2013 10:24 am Yeah, Fantagraphics is fast and loose with their release dates. We already got the Tardi in at my store. But, hey, I didn't want to disqualify it. ;)
June 27, 2013 9:34 am FIrst Second has a nice first look at the final book on their blog. The art reminds me a bit of the games from Jamie Cheng and Jeffery Agala, the guys behind Shank, Don't Starve, and Mark of the Ninja. http://www.firstsecondbooks.com/books/new-book-templar/
June 27, 2013 9:30 am Awesome! It's a wonderfully weird series. I think I liked the new one a bit more than the original, but they're both great stand-alone works.
June 3, 2013 11:17 am Wow, thanks so much! I'm so glad that you enjoy this feature. It's always fun to put together.
June 3, 2013 11:15 am Thanks for the correction! I think the Fraco-Belgian publisher of his earlier books - not to mention all the time he spends abroad - threw me off.
February 7, 2013 11:06 am Thanks for the article, Chris! I've been enjoying the new characters in Hickman's Avengers - and I think he gives enough context to work with - but it's nice to see where they fit into the history of the greater Marvel universe.
February 5, 2013 6:12 pm Great review, Paul. This is definitely one of the early releases of 2013 I'm most excited to get my hands on. With this, you've pushed it even higher on my need-to-buy list. ... and I've never get tired of that "send up the white smoke" joke for Paul Pope releases.
January 18, 2013 3:56 pm Congratulations to Ron on the new job, Paul on the promotion, and iFanboy on a graceful return to independence.
