November 13, 2012 9:58 am In '97 when I saw L.A. Confidential (still one of my favorite movies) I was blown away by Crowe, it was the first thing I saw him in. I remember not long after that there was talk of a X-Men movie from my friends and I just shouted out his name without even thinking. I think it was his anger in that movie, especially the scene in the interrogation room. When he breaks the back of the chair with his hands, throws the guy up against the wall, takes 5 of the 6 bullets out of his pistol, and yells "one in six!" And actually pulls the trigger a few times. Still think it would have been cool.
July 24, 2012 3:27 pm You know I may not have heard a word the doctor was telling Bruce, because I was laughing in my head so much that Tom Lennon was in the Dark Knight Rises. And as for Hines Ward, I sure hope this movie wasn't the reason he retired from football last season, thinking it would spark his acting career like Jim Brown.
July 23, 2012 1:52 am @ludusmaximus Just last week when I was re-watching Beings I mentioned to my wife how great and special the scene is when Gordon puts his coat on Bruce. Also maybe one of my favorites scenes. Right at that moment in Rises when Bruce said that my head immediately flew back onto the headrest (I had been sitting up for most of that last hour) because it felt like I had been shot. She noticed right away how I almost lost it and put her hand on my shoulder.
July 23, 2012 1:42 am It was awesome how there was no music at all during the first fight between Batman and Bane. Made it that much more intense when you saw Bane lift him up and drop him on his knee.
June 8, 2012 9:04 am I'm going to guess we find out when the September solicits come out on Monday. Chances are they don't talk about it until we see FINAL ISSUE next to 4 of the titles.
May 22, 2012 10:53 am Yes, I got excited when the DVD of this came out because I got my wife to watch it with me. I thought for sure that part was going to be her favorite...and then that issue wasn't even covered in the movie.
March 30, 2012 11:33 pm Well I now know where $150 of my money will be going to throughout the next 3 years.
March 30, 2012 9:58 am The American Vampire cover just makes me happy that Rafael Albuquerque is going to be teaming up with Snyder again on Batman starting next month...even if it is just for the backup story.
March 19, 2012 2:16 pm I was actually more upset they lost the Winnebago than the guy (see I don't even know what his name was) dying.
March 19, 2012 12:50 pm @KreiderDesigns: Yeah I'm not a fan volumes that big, too. I have just been using it as a way to get a lot of my friends who love the show into the comic. Plus if you wanted your collections to match, there is no guarantee the 2nd one with 49-96 will come out anytime soon. I love the Walking Dead trades because unlike almost everything else, there isn't a break in between issues with the covers so it's seems like a bigger story that doesn't stop. @itsbecca: Yeah, 3 months before the 1st season started I told my wife if she started reading them she could knock out one trade a week. She read all of them in a few weeks.
