Bio: Film geek, hockey fan and proud believer that Flash Gordon is a better movie than Star Wars, also that Highlander is the greatest film ever made. So all in all I'm not someone you want to go to the cinema with!

August 16, 2012 11:15 am Same for me Nightwing is just average it shows signs of getting great but never does I think I will probably be jumping off at this point there are just to many other consistently great books competing for my time and cash. I started off buying a lot of the new 52 and gradually cut them down throughout the year and with the issue 0's coming out this feels the right time to make the final cuts.
August 7, 2012 3:57 pm I have to say I agree about the online 'community' there are only two sites I ever bother to read comments on or have any discussion and one of them is this site the other is not comics related. I agree to a point about the reviews as well if I have read a negative review about a comic it effects my reading of it, now I never read reviews of comics before I read them it's kind of interesting on what I agree with and what I don't. Although I never feel stupid for liking something that others don't.
August 7, 2012 2:28 pm Batman, Batman and Robin, Daredevil Annual #1 and under strict instructions to grab a copy of Gambit for my gf who is still complaining years later about Gambit geting punked out by Wolverine in Wolverine X:Men Origins. Was going to be Suicide Squad but i've finally given up on it, frequently threatens to be great then just falls short imho anyway. Glad we dont have reunions in the UK
August 7, 2012 2:17 pm Although I love the convenience of digital in some things I have always stuck with the comics store, but having said that I am very lucky in that I have a great store in London (Gosh Comics) that I dont need to pre-order anything and it's easy to try new things and cancel if I dont like them. Their needs to be a place for both I think as I dont want comic stores going the same way as record shops. Digital offers great convenience but at a cost I miss being able to browse a bookstore or record shop in anytown I went to now you'll be lucky to find a tiny HMV with a meager selection. It would be good if digital could be linked to a comic store in someway with the pricing buy #1 online then automatically order the next one to be delivered to you LCS or something like that. I guess in the end the publishers would prefer to cut out the middle man though to maximise profit. I worry about what JJ Abrahms has said as for me when I was just out of school the LCS, books shops and CD stores were where I met friends that I still see today whats this being replaced with a twitter feed?
