July 16, 2012 9:25 am I've been trying stay chipper, but I was just bored this whole issue. I get the Buffy in the Big World storyline, but I don't know how many times it can be done before we can pronounce it dead. This year was the third (at least) time that she's worked a cash register and thought "Wow, adulthood is hard and stupid." I almost laughed at how quickly she disobeyed orders this issue. Buffy has been striking me more every season since her 2nd death as developing this weird god complex with herself (obviously, there is some merit to it, but it's definitely open to interpretation just how much she matters in the big picture). The reveal at the end was a breath of relief though! Plot! 11 issues and here comes some supernatural plot! Great hook for the next issue, I'm just worried about the pacing this year.
July 10, 2012 9:36 pm Hmm, looking closer at the promo AND the mirror for the cover...he is definitely sans right eyeball.
July 10, 2012 9:33 pm This story-line has been refreshing and smart. Just when I'm getting excited about the end of the current story arc, that promo image comes out and blows my mind. Now there's this weird undertone to the comics, as if I'm waiting to see the Joker's eyes in the background of a panel. *shiver*
July 10, 2012 9:13 pm The comic store employee in me cheers for easy numbering systems (Thanks, New 52! If nothing else, you help keep my pre-coffee organization skills to counting on my toe-sies!), but the comic customer in me thinks the new costumes are horrible and NOW! is a bad title. It doesn't roll off the tongue and I think customers will feel stupid saying it. Listen, Marvel. If you need somebody to run your marketing department, just say so. I'll be there in 10.
