I liked the X-Force parts of 'Messiah Complex' a lot, but I was skeptical that Kyle and Yost could maintain the quality. Sure enough -- they're not maintaining the quality.
I can sort of enjoy this book if I pretend it takes place in an alternate universe from the rest of Marvel, possibly one in which the Skrulls caused Cyclops and Emma to switch bodies, turning him into the ruthless one. Though now I want to apply the body switch to 'Uncanny' too, because that means it was Cyclops who was bonding with Shanna of the Savage Land and talking about how awesome he (Cyclops) is. And it was Emma butting heads with Tony Stark, which is always a good time.
Speaking of X-Force (as I was; really), apparently the Purifiers are controlling SHIELD. Between them and the Skrulls and the Red Skull, I guess the only person who really works for SHIELD anymore is Jessica Jones.
Yeah, I still can't think of anything to say about this book that's actually about THIS book.
