As tie-in issues, go, this was okay. Gillen’s humor works well here. (If part of the penultimate page of this issue doesn’t go up as one of the Panels Of The Week, I’ll eat someone else’s hat*.) I’m still amazed that after three years now, I still hate Land’s art on this book. In my reviews of Avengers Vs. X-Men Round Four, I debated which book should be read first. I think they’re meant to be read simultaneously. So, you know, you should do that.

*-Hat must be made of something delicious. I’m hoping for pretzels.

  1. MMMm….pretzel hat.

  2. If you sweat a lot, you could wear an unsalted one and take care of the flavor yourself.

  3. A nacho hat would be better. One with melted cheese in the center for dipping.

  4. Melted cheese on a comic book fan’s head sounds both redundant and terrible. 😉 Otherwise, yes to the nacho hat.

  5. I like Land’s art. I get that some people don’t like his approach to the art process, but I think the end result is easy on the eyes. But then again, I’m one of the few people that is actually turned off by Jim Lee’s work, so do what you will with that…

  6. I enjoy Land’s art.

  7. Agreed about that panel. One of the best parts of the issue. (There were some fun panels throughout this issue, IMO.)

  8. like lands art but wished he put some arms on she hulk, some muscle tone so you’re like wow how is that even possible. she doesn’t have to be portrayed as a female body builder, just two tickets to the gun show and you have a she hulk.
