This issue was a bit slower paced than previous, but it’s setting up a new arc and creating some great situations that are going to be lots of fun down the line. When video proof of some of the teams covert operations fall into the hands of the media there is a potential disaster looming for waren’s company and the team. We even get a cameo from a very popular mutant who may be joining the team for a short while.
As far as the art…it was more than fine. It was just not the special thing we’ve gotten used to. Gone are the creepy pencils, mysterious environments and illogically beautiful color pallettes that we’ve gotten so used to, and replaced with full on glossy and straight forward comic art. It was adequate, but it was just another generic marvel comic.
I’m excited to see where this story is going and will be even more excited when the original art band gets back together for another go at this unique adventure.
