The first seven issues of this have been so fantastic, that I went back and read all the Ultimate/Supreme trades from USM #1 through Ultimatum.  I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.  And, while I don’t think you need to have read Ultimate Origins (where The Watcher first appears in The Ultimate Universe, and chooses Rick Jones to be The Savior Of Mankind), to enjoy this series, it was fun to see how Bendis is pulling in all sorts of Ultimate continuity.

That said, this issue didn’t rock me the way the previous ones did.  I did like that the Teen Slut Squad that Land introduced in Ultimate Power, still had a Land look, but were portrayed as being younger.  Though, seeing a B cup teenage girl in a suit designed by Land is a little creepy.  More realistic?  Yes.  Less creepy?  Not so much.

The story was good, but a bit of a step down from the previous issues.

Story: 3 - Good
