In this issue of Gotham Central, Morgan Freeman and Detective Driver take a drive to upstate NY…oh wait…wrong book. Except for the drive upstate part. The writing and art on this issue of Punisher was phenomenal, reminding me ever so fondly of the Gotham Central days of Rucka and Lark. The fact that other than in a flashback of sorts, the Punisher isn’t even in the book didn’t matter, he was there in spirit, or in action as the 2 detectives drive upstate to check out Frank’s latest massacre. Love love loving Rucka’s take on the Punisher, a character I haven’t read since the early 90’s. And the guest appearance on art by Lark made this issue even better. READ THIS SERIES.
