This can be marked as my last issue of Echo.  I don’t know if it’s Terry Moore not being able to find his voice in this book or what, but I feel like after 11 issues we should be a little further along in the story than what we are.  This book has been moving at almost a glacial pace for me and with it coming out every other month this does not help.

Also when I pay 3.50 for a book that the first 5 and 2/3 pages have only one line of dialogue I get a little upset since that’s about a third of the book in total.  The pace and schedule on this book is killing it for me, so I’ve opted to drop the issues and wait for trades to come out.  Actually I would almost prefer to do what I did with SiP and wait for all of the Handbooks to come out, I really hope Moore does that with this book, and read it then.

I’m curious what other people have to say about this book that have been reading it in issues.  I actually just went back to see what people had to say about issue 10 and found that I had written a review of it, where I said pretty much the same thing.  So iFanboy who else is reading this in issues and what do you think?  Do you think this book is moving to slow or is it just right?

Me I’m pretty sure I’m done.  Also don’t take this the wrong way I think this book has tons of potential, but with the pacing and schedule of this book it’s not going to work in issues for me.

i just read the first trade and I’m curious to know if you feel the same way about those issues. Myself, I enjoy minimalism.

  2. The question now is do you go back and buy the trades that are out already even though you own the singles?

  3. I thought this issue was fantastic, and the length didn’t bother me at all. I thought it was extremely well written and drawn, and it was actually my potw in a week of quite a lot of books. I’ve found that you need to be in the mood for this book, because if you’re not completely engrossed in it even for a minute then it completely loses its impact. This issue and the last one in particular are really where I’d like this book to be every time.
