Much like Girls, as this story goes on, I am losing itnerest in it.  The Luna Brothers seem to backload the story in their comics.  Rather than giving you a bit of background on characters, and then neatly folding them into the story, they try and smack you with a hidden revelation by way of dialog or narrative device, and then they spend nearly an entire issue over-analyzing it.  This was that issue.  What could have been a nifty one page reveal turned into a five page monologue followed by one sentence exclamations of pain.

It troubles me because when The Sword has been good (and I have anjoyed probably 17 or 18 of the 22 issues), it’s been excellent.  This one was kind of mediocre, despite yet another Oh Shit She Didn’t moment.  I really hope this has a more satisfying conclusion than Girls.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

Thank fucking god you’ve read Girls.  What the fuck was the ending all about.  If you remember, can you please explain it to me?

@vadamowens: I don’t know what the ending was all about.  I’ve been trying to forget it ever since I read it, and I’ve apparently succeeded.  I just remember getting the fourth trade and thinking, "Huh?"

As long as I’m not alone.

They should’ve shrunk this last arc down to four books and been done with it.  They always work me up to a good climax and then all of a sudden I need Viagra.  Fucking Luna Brothers and their weak endings:(

  4. Sometimes I feel like the only person around who liked "Girls". I actually like an ambiguous ending. To each his own, I suppose.

You assume a lot.  Once again, I said I didn’t care for the ending, not the story overall.
