Quite frankly this series has always been good from the start but just good not Great for me at least and ive found Animal Man to be the better of the two similiar titles every week they come out together.

Although with the last two issues of Swamp Thing it really has kicked itself into gear after a slow start which featured more gross action sequences than actual character driven plot I felt. After a quick overview of all the main characters involved in this story and the transformation of Alec into the Swamp Thing it has moved this story into greatness. Along with the combined efforts of Marco Rudy and some of the best Yanick Paquette work I’ve seen this issue made for a great read as well as visually a delight to gaze over.

Hopefully now the momentum doesn’t stop here after the last page holy shit moment and the crossover of Animan Man and Swamp Thing just around the corner. I couldn’t be more excited.
