Dynamite continues there strong line up of licensed properties with this second issue of Sherlock Holmes. I thought the first issue beautifully set up the situations and with issue two, we really got into more of the meat of the story. There is obviously much more going on here than what it appears to be at first glance. The familiar characters are all handled very well, and the art is strong. The mystery is also not some second rate puzzle tacked on, it looks so far to have required real thought. I don’t want to give away any of the specifics for anyone who hasn’t picked this up yet but still might, but let me just say it appears to be very well crafted and I for one have some faint ideas of what may be the solution, but nothing at all concrete. This is a book that is a must read for Holmes fans, as well as just anyone who likes a good mystery. Highly recommended.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good

  1. Isn’t Sherlock Holmes public property now? So maybe continuing with famous properties rather than licensed. In RL i’m not a stickler, I swear.
