Just finished this book and the initial reaction was “meh”, and I hate that word due to its vast overuse.  This book was to tie up the events of Shadowland which focused primarily on Daredevil. The story centers around Ben Urich, a reporter for Frontline, who is also Editor-In-Chief, and police Detective Kurtz.  Both of whom are looking for the Missing Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Kurtz to arrest him, and Urich to write his story.  While it is understandable that the Police would want to question Murdock for his involvement with the Shadowland incident, it is Urich’s sense of entitlement that rubbed me the wrong way. At the beginning it is Urich who wants to “tell the story” and later on he proclaims that the people “deserve” to know the truth.  Very well.  Then why has he been sitting on Daredevil’s secret identity for years? Who gave him the power to decide what the people deserve to know or not? The fact that he has appointed himself gatekeeper over the information regarding the events of Shadowland is eerily similar to Tony Stark believing that he knew better than everyone else regarding the Civil War.  This book to me was a pointless attempt to further pimp the Shadowland story, which should best be left to fade away…quickly.
