Not to sound overly harsh, this book just has to be dropped.  Don’t get me wrong.  I love Powers.  I read the series before it’s self imposed hiatus, and during the time off, I caught up on the trades and storylines that I had missed through my local library.  But something about this reboot feels off.  After 3 issues, I can’t tell you what the heck is going on.  At first, I thought it would be cool to get a look at more of Christian’s past, but the connections to his present just aren’t really doing it for me.  I would have loved for the book to either focus on his past, or focus on a kick ass crime story.  It has to be mentioned that despite promises, the book is late, which means that I’m forgetting what’s happening from issue to issue, and my confusion only compounds my lack of enjoyment with the title.  At 4 bucks a pop, it’s hard to buy a book where the story doesn’t make sense.  Oeming is drawing the hell out of the book, and as always, I enjoyed the art.  He is the master of using negative space and dark shadow in this book, and it’s always a pleasure to look at.  It’s just too bad that delays and a lackluster plot are pushing me away.  Maybe, I’ll hop back on with the next arc.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good
