Dick Grayson is always about the optimism. So naturally when the Joker strikes its about making his worldview turn decidedly negative. The Joker’s knowledge of the Bat-families identities is most obvious here as he goes after people only associated with Dick Grayson. This is more explicit than in other tie-ins like Batman or Batgirl where its left a little more ambiguous about what the Joker knows. Higgins return to writing Nightwing is welcome as he really has Grayson’s voice and tone done pat. The art is also clean when done by Barrows but suffers a little when it shifts to Ferreira. Overall a great addition to Death of the Family.
