This title has been my surprise hit of the year.  Marvel’s Mystery Men has classic, pulp style heroes and all the regular archetypes are covered.  You’ve got the Rocketeer influenced Aviatrix, the pulp detective Operator, the magically inspired Revenant, classically inspired Achilles, and the unsettled Surgeon in a single story against an evil military leader.  It’s a fun period piece that’s going to make a great trade, but because there are elements of the old serials mixed in with a concise introduction to the previous issues it’s still possible to jump into the action.
