I’m not a big Judge Dredd fan and just read a handful of his 2000AD stories. I was very looking forward to this ongoing series, but I have to say that I was rather disappointed by the first issue. The art was great but the main story felt somehow uncompleted. It felt rushed and the end had to many open questions and was too abrupt. For a sec I thought that they did forget to print the last two pages of the main story.
I was wishing they would start the series with a three or four part storyline which would be in line with the way AD publishes his stories.

The backup story was great though.

I’m still sticking with it, but for a first issue I was hoping for a more memorable experience. Not a origin story or anything alike, but… just better I guess.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 5 - Excellent
