The Sgt. Rock story was deeply touching. Not over the top blind patriotism, just human. Powerful.

I’m in love with Kubert’s stories in this series. Not to mention the USS Stevens stories are like reading a Studs Terkel book–a kind of oral history of WWII.

This is so mandatory reading.
