The long form story of retribution from crimes too great in number continues. This issue continues with tiny, almost insignificant, twists and turns. Even the reveal at the end is relatively minor except to illustrate what a true bastard Max had once been. The true star of this series has been Takara’s art. He has steadily gotten cleaner and more capable at crafting a striking pane. His storytelling is growing slowly and can be fun when it comes together. There are fewer rogue moments that seem to jar from the story and less struggle in cohesive telling.
