Let’s be clear: John Stewart has killed alot of Green Lanterns. It’s kind of his thing. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Alpha Lanterns are looking to take him down in order to enforce the law within the GL Corps. The premise and plotting to this issue aren’t the problem. My serious misgivings come from execution. I feel like this storyline has been going on gor sometime. Maybe its all filler or maybe the Lantern writers from the other books are all trying to match their storylines up, but this arc and story has been way too drawn out. We’ve all seen the “angry Lantern argues with Guardians”. Did you know Guardians have no emotions and try to reason with logic alone? Of course you do but it’s explained again and again again.
GL Corps is the weakest of the three Green Lantern books I’m pulling regularly exactly because it isn’t mining new material like GL proper or New Guardians. Hopefully this title picks up with the end of this arc and we can get into something fresh.
