So, maybe after reading Detective Comics everything else seemed a little worse than it actually was, but I wasn’t very impressed with this or the last issue for that matter. The thing is I love Jeff Lemire and Sweet Tooth is one of my favorites. However, it seems that I like him quite a bit more when he is drawing AND writing. I feel like a lot of his emotion and his magic gets lost in translation with artists who are not him. I didn’t care who died in this issue even though I wanted to and I felt the whole thing with his wife was tragically underwhelming. I really hope that Lemire overcomes the obstacles of having other aritsts draw his stories because I will be getting this and Animal Man come September. Normally I prefer to write positive reviews, but I am wondering if anyone else feels the same way.

  1. I agree, see my comments on the issue comment page. This was missing something, which seemed to be your feeling as well. I was underwhelmed and didn’t care about the characters.
