The Night of the Owls brought me back to CATWOMAN, and for what it is, CATWOMAN #10 isn't bad. Like most titles involved in the crossover it leaves the Court behind and launches into its own story again. Selina's on the trail of someone who is abducting sex workers for some probably sinister purpose. It's an oddly Batman-esque thing for her to be doing, and to be honest I feel like the explanation she gives Spark is...well, lazy. Lazy, predictable. Just...uninteresting, as a character motivation. That book's attractive as ever, though Guillem March could still use some anatomy lessons here and there. But it's never the atrocious cover to CATWOMAN #0, not nearly. Personally, I prefer it when Catwoman is being a bit more of a criminal. There are literally half a dozen books I can pick up when I want to read about a non-powered vigilante fighting street crime in Gotham. I appreciate that Selina's got a heart of gold, but I like when it takes a bit more for it to shine through.
