Steve Rogers, the WW2 Black Panther, Nick Fury & the Howling Commandos and a slew of Nazis looking for vibranium. Hitler appears in one scene(reminiscent of a semi-serious “Inglorious Basterds”) and there’s the classic “shit just got real” appearance of a familiar character on the last page(not the Punisher or Sentry).

If you’re a fan of WW2 superhero stories, look no further. This one is a great adventure tale, really more of a Indiana Jones meets the Dirty Dozen type story, with Cap & the Howlers(or Hooters as Hitler calls them) going after a elite Nazi team that’s going after Wakanda. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to recognize the “first black guy to kill Nazis,” but the racial tension of WW2 is a nice addition that harkens back to the “Black Captain America” story.

The art reminds me of the Joe Kubert style, pencily but clear, with a feeling of a “retro” story.

Just lots of fun, with lots of bad-ass, “hell yes” moments.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
