This was a bad issue. Not only did Bishop actually say "I've got one more chance to get it right..." for the millionth time but the picture one of the New X-Men holds up and says "Did Cable fight in the Revolutionary War" actually shows a picture of the Civil War. Terrible. And why is Cable suddenly having heart problems from the time sliding? He spent 21 issues jumping through the time stream with no trouble and now all the sudden he's dying every jump? Also nice to see that someone can recover from a heart attack with just a little basic mouth to mouth and a loud "don't die on me soldier!" I really enjoyed the last arc with Hope falling in love and being set in space but then this issue goes right back to the cookie cutter story telling that has plagued this book since about issue 6. Every time I am about to drop this book it pulls me back in. I was going to drop it a year ago them King Sized Cable kept me going. Then a few months later but the space story got me. Now I'm ready again but Second Coming is right around the corner so I feel like I should stick with this. This series has been fun at times, tedious at others, and this issue was one of my least favorite. Looking forward to finally being able to drop this book for good.
