this book continues to impress. my only experience with Cooke has be “New frontier” and here i thought he was all wholesome and shit. cooke proves to have many more layers in my book(even though hardcore fans know this already). cooke is one of the few creators up to the task of minutemen. his pulpy style suits so well this noir classic in the works and honors gracefully the mythos while adding a level of twisted deviousness that echoes a moore-esque darkness and grittiness that might make the Marquis de Sade blush.
