You know I was really looking forward to this considering Gray & Palmiotti are the new writers, but it just wasn’t better than OK.

The tone is strange…Batwing fights a Lion-Man Centaur beast in the last 4 pages?

I expected Batwing to adopt s new definable “aura” of seriousness with these new writers– not sure why I assumed that.

I still long for the qualities of Winick’s first 6 issues of this book. And I know that’s not really G&P’s thang…I don’t think they’ve hit their stride yet. But man they need to, or Batwing WILL get cancelled. I’d hate to see that, it’s such an interesting character–or at least COULD be interesting.
