I didn’t finish it, and already I hate it.

I’m gonna hafta go Google Zeb Wells and find out why he knows nothing about Hawkeye.

Hawkeye who worked freelance for SHIELD. Hawkeye who partnered with Black Widow. Hawkeye who was Captain America’s right-hand-man during the Marvel triple Action era of the Avengers. Hawkeye who worked side-by-side with Mockingbird. Hawkeye who ran the West Coast Avengers.

I usually don’t get mired in continuity, but when the best excuse for a team-up between Hawkeye & Spider-Man has Parker lecturing Barton on how to follow a lead, you are not a very knowledgeable Marvel writer.

Feh. Bleh. Ugh. Terrible.

As is the Greg Land characterization of Clint as a posing pretty boy wasn’t bad enough.

This was not worth four dollars and I hereby cross Zeb Wells off of the list of writers whose work at Marvel I will bother to acquire in the future. After the first arc, this is a terrible letdown.

This overpriced team-up book had only a limited window to prove itself to me, and after a very auspicious start, has completely destroyed all good will within the first ten pages of the fourth issue.

Note to writer: Real archers have nothing against compound bows when they use them for combat or hunting. they are simply another tool that the fully proficient archer also learns to master. That would be like a guitar player saying he’s never tried a classical or electric guitar, because he only plays acoustic, but he’s still the best guitar player in the world. Sorry. That’s laughable.

Completely unbelievable writing, utterly ignorant characterization, ridiculously poor research, wooden dialogue about utter tripe.

This comic book sucks.

An absolute failure. Far below average. Insultingly bad.

Story: ZERO! Worse Than Poor… It’s Shite.
Art: Greg Land Making a Buffoon of Hawkeye a la Hollywoodland (gah!)

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 1 - Poor
