Wow…the new artist on this book is…just atrocious. I have finally been pushed too far by the consistently decreasing quality on this book. First they lost Brian Denham, then Bill Willingham. Now the writing has been on a steady decline for the last few months (I thought I’d give the new writers time to get comfortable and find the characters’ voices, but it never happened; the characters are all being treated as blank slates, interchangeably used as mouthpieces for whatever words need saying at any given moment), and they’ve replaced the not great but competent Casagrande with a new artist who makes everyone look like a particularly unattractive version of a Scooby Doo character. I’m done. I’ve been reading Angel from the first issue, but now it’s dropped. That actually makes me sad…but hey, here’s hoping Dark Horse revives this series.
