First of all I must say that is one of the longest set ups in comic history. Age of Ultron was teased right after the SIEGE ended. Bendis and company had this one on the barn burner for several years. So at least two years ago, (Free Comic Book Day or a .1 issue) there was this battle where Ultron returned to Earth in a spaceknight armor. So Bendis decided to have that be the bookend. Time travel tricks led to Hank Pym having a backup program destroy Ultron during this fight. Good use of comic book narrative to do this. What's more amusing is that the results was too many paradoxes. Marvel has had too many alternative timelines. Lets break things. Send Galactus to the Ultimate Universe, why not? How it brought Angela to Marvel 616 from the Imageverse is not clear, but more amusing as to where that will go. The art team (I mean team) does have a sort of Michael Bay/Oliver Stone camera trick to it. Each timeline is different art style and that actually makes it clearer. What is disappointing is spoilers from two months ago. I suspect that Marvel had planned on this being the summer event Last Year but someone (like Hitch) got way too far behind and AVX was the pinch hitter.
