Another great issue written by Morrsion. Readers thinks they know all about who Superman is because they kinda do from the last 70 years of stories. Morrison has the tough job of retelling things we all think we know, all while keeping it fresh and not so far out there the slow kids will complain. I think he's doing a great job of it so far. In this issue we find out how the Rocket was sent from Krypton to Earth, the Phantom Zone, Krypto, Ma and Pa Kent finding baby Superman, plus a glimpse of the new Fortress of Solitude and the Legion of Superheroes. Jam packed enough that I'll go 1 more month paying the $3.99 (vice waiting a month for the slightly more reasonable $2.99) to see how this pans out. Outside of the story the art was okay. Seemed a little rushed and the last page of the main story reinforced my dislike of these new costumes with the ridiculous high collars. Not one DC costume wearer thinks the collars look ridiculous? The guy in the office next to me at work wears turtle necks and the guy just past him wears fitted shirts, but nobody in the new DCU has a different fashion sense? All that plus Chriscross draws some creepy Joker looking smiles on the Kents.
