This is one issue that really could have used a recap page.  Heck, I would have even settled for an elegant use of the story to recap who the characters were and why they were a part of the team.  Instead, I was left struggling the entire issue, trying to figure just what the hell was going on.  I shouldn’t say that…I was able to follow the story.  But as for what character did what and who died, I couldn’t tell you at all.  It doesn’t help that Phillips’ art is absolutely crammed into these pages and that each face and body type looks the same.  Only a few characters really have any distinctive look to them.  It’s not that this story is bad.  In fact, I’m intrigued by it.  I always love these “assassinate Hitler” stories, but it just doesn’t have the room to breathe or develop any sort of identity.  The characters definitely suffer in this sort of structure.  I really, really want to love this book, but it’s just not gelling for me.  Also, with only one issue left, I’m afraid that this story will fail to deliver.  Here’s hoping that it finishes strongly…

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 3 - Good
