Definitely got something out of it!

I also appreciated your anecdote about your Dad and Y: The Last Man. I’m going through the same thing with my Dad and American Vampire.

Thanks, Ken! Yeah, it seems like I’ve spent YEARS trying to get friends and family to read comics who don’t think comics are for them. So these little victories are important. :D And now that I’m putting out a book, all of that effort seems like a testing ground for that same core concept…

  2. oh wow thanks for posting this, can’t wait to listen!

Really fascinating discussion with a nice mix of voices each approaching independent comics in a unique way. Genuinely interested in hearing more of these. I hope Earth-2 makes a regular thing of it!

This was incredibly impressive, guys. Loved hearing the different opinions about breaking into comics the independent way. I can only imagine how tough it is in this market to do that – you almost have to treat it like a business where you’re constantly working at and plugging your material. Best to all on their books!
