This mini-series was really good , it touches diferent aspects of Magneto origin.
it’s a must read in any format.
if you haven’t read the singles or HC then you need this.
As an individual of gypsy distraction i had it offense that Marvel felt it was necessary to remove that aspect of Magneto’s origin… you could even say i feel a little gypped
I’m considering reading this, as is my nemesis the bastrd I see!

@KickAss – you definitely NEED to read it. I read it in singles then bought the HC. It’s that good.

If you’re okay with this not being a Marvel superheroes story, but rather a realistic portrayal of the holocaust that happens to feature Magneto (sans powers or nifty helmet), then yes, it’s a must read. If that doesn’t sound like your bag, then it probably won’t be as necessary for you.
You and I have our differences of opinion, but generally have liked a lot of the same stuff (albeit only on the Marvel side due to somebody‘s intollerance of another publishing company), so don’t let my shared interest in owning this book dissuade you.
