  1. Was anyone else extremely let down by the “twist” to this book? I’m hoping there’s some more to come otherwise what a waste of amazing art by Weston.

    • I wasn’t let down. it was weird as hell the way it was done though! “Look, I’m a Ken doll!” Maybe JMS has emasculation nightmares.

  2. I gotta dig it out, but its OK. This was a Tour de Force in its time.

  3. I can’t wait for the battle royale this issue.

While I’ll agree the twist wasn’t much of one, I absolutely loved the old time drama reveal by my man the Phantom Reporter last issue.

And did I mention we got us one hell of a superhero fight on the way? Let’s get ready to rumble!!!

  4. Weston’s art has not been wasted. Will the 12 issue arc payoff? Juries out. But some of the single issue hero origin/profile stories have been Watchmen/Astro City brilliant.

  5. I thought this was great! The panel where Rockman lifts the beam really stood out for me, so cool. The fight was brutal and real, and I think JMS did a good job adding a few twists to the fight.

I love the faces of these characters, they’re all so unique. And they look like they’re from their era facially, which I can’t explain.

    My POTW.

It’s interesting how the series could have ended right here, I wonder what the epilogue will have happen?

  6. ok after reading this part of the chapter it got a little better and i agree with Urthona the story could have ended right here. Everything to do with Rockman made the issue.
