  1. Oooooh, Hobgoblin!! Can’t wait!

  2. This arc has been surprisingly good. It’s crazy how hit or miss Slott’s work has been for me.

    • Really? What have you not been liking about it? Just curious.

I agree with TomisTommy, to me Dan Slott’s run has a been a bit hit or miss (leaning more on the side of hit). I really liked the beginning of Ends of the Earth but it got rather long in the tooth and a bit conventional towards the end. On the other hand Spider-Island was awesome.

I’ve been loving this arc by the way.

    • This issue was actually a perfect example of when Slott does not work for me haha. I had been enjoying this arc, but this issue was really bad, in my opinion.

I think that Slott can do a good dramatic or darker story line, such as the last 2 issues and the one-shot following the death of J. Jonah Jameson’s wife. Whenever he tries to throw in little winks and nods to pop culture stuff, however, it seems forced and pretty terrible. Trying to wedge in a “Call Me, Maybe” joke, along with Doritoes and bad videogame references, really annoyed me. He kind of does it a lot too.

Also, I really don’t like it when writers go to lengths to go back and reference events that happened in previous issues. Granted, this is more of a personal pet peeve, and most people probably don’t have a problem with that.

  3. Consistently one of my fave comics books every time it comes out.

  4. I still don’t know why they don’t just sign Stefano Caselli to this book for the rest of his life. Draws the best spidey i’ve seen since early McFarlane days.

  5. So glad this book is living up to its’ adjective.

  6. Interesting little twist with Connors-Lizard here in this issue. I honestly have no idea how this is going to play out. Also, am the only one who kind of hopes Carly gets killed ? 🙂

  7. From dealing with the death of Silver Sable and trying to help Dr. Connors and Dr. Connors brain still being the Lizard. This story is really good. I’m enjoying this very much.

  8. Another cool issue. Can’t wait to see how this plays out, next issue has a pretty cool horror set up.

  9. Yeah, I loved this issue too. Looks like Spidey isn’t playing games with Morbius anymore. Can’t wait to see how this arc wraps up.
