Quickly going from one of my top pulls to on the brink of being dropped.
is that because of the artist change?
Id have to say that has a big part of it. That and the last story arc have kind of turned me off. I only started this title at #1 for the sole reason it was based in Houston. I was quickly hooked by the story (i have no knowledge of the clone arc with Spider-Man) and mostly the artwork. But since i guess around #6 it seems to get worse each week. And The Rangers?! Come on!
I enjoyed the Minimum Carnage Alpha one-shot last week but wasn’t as happy with it as I was hoping, I’ll probably stick with this through the end cause I like the characters but I do hope it gets better.
I loved the rangers arc! It wasn’t just a “hey look at this new team we cooked up” story, in my opinion that’s how Kaine VIEWS super heroes! Big goofy do-gooders in tight’n’brights that he DOES NOT fit in with and actually is kind of thankful for that. I love this book just a smidge less than at #1 because of Stegman leaving, I’ll admit.
Don’t give up on this book, guys.
thats a good way to look at it.
im with you i was also dissapointed at ryan going but the art is still good and good story i love kaine and this book still remains top of my pull list
I just started reading this and Venom and I think both are great! Really diggin’ this cross over and will be sticking with both comics afterwards as well.
Kaine is like the dirty Peter Parker. He says whatever the @#$% he wants and takes no shit. This is still a great book.
This book still delivers what I want from it: Big, Fun action and an awesome character in the middle. Love it.
Chapter 2 of “Minimum Carnage” has what I think is a major turning point for Scarlet Spider. Both Kaine and Flash Thompson have this bad-boy-attitude but with a heart, that makes them very appealing. Khoi Pham’s pencils are great as well.

I agree this title has dropped a few notches since the beginning. But still not bad enough to drop for me anyway. I still enjoy it.
