Interesting first issue but didn’t blow me away. This one is make or break.

  2. USPUNX USPUNX says:

Someone remind me…is this a mini or an ongoing?

  3. PraxJarvin PraxJarvin says:

It’s a mini according to the ad for #4 (of 5) in the back of last week’s image books. (The ad being for #4 shipping on April 26!)

  4. ctrosejr ctrosejr says:

@USPUNX: Yeah, I am with you on the first issue being “ok”.  Actually, learning this is a mini-series, I think just moved this into the “break” column.

  5. misterckent misterckent says:

I need to reread the first one. I’m trying to remember the detais.  I liked the first one, but I think this one will shape up this world a bit better.

  6. USPUNX USPUNX says:

You could be right, first one introduces the world and its rules and number 2 fleshes it out more. Hope that’s the case.

  7. MacAoidh MacAoidh says:

I loved the first issue, the art elevated it. This was far superior to ish 1 of morning glories for me.

  8. deadspace deadspace says:

Yup, I think this is going to be better than Morning Glories.

  9. xiseerht says:

Can’t wait for it to come out.  I think it has been………………..  two weeks since a Nick Spencer book came out.  Boy is slacking.

  10. skydog skydog says:

He’s in a position now to be promoted to failure;  the most in demand guy out there right now.  let’s see how many books either end up late or quality is sacraficed.  i’d prefer the former outcome over the latter.

  11. huntersan182 huntersan182 says:

I think the lateness is more from Ward. God knows Spencer can make a deadline.

  12. jpeters1221 says:

Looking forward to this. Like everyone else, the first issue didn’t blow me away, but I am interested in the premise.

  13. Absolutly loved the first issue myself. Cant wait to read this one and really get a feel for where the story is going.

  14. If this book is as beautiful as the last book, Ward can take all the time he needs.

  15. MacAoidh MacAoidh says:

Another issue that blew me away. V. interesting book.

  16. i love the illustrated work in this book but i can’t get on board with the bad photography. It looks like semi-pro RF stock photography (it seems custom) This is really an Art Direction issue more than anything…its just not lit, acted or photographed well enough in my opinion to look pro. I love the idea of trying to integrate photography and actors, but i think it needs to be handled much better and integrated nicer.

  17. JNewcomb JNewcomb says:

Crap. This came out? I hope there’s copies left at my store.

  18. @wallythegreenmonster  It clashes so hard with the art.

  19. JudgeJoyce JudgeJoyce says:

    Didn’t arrive in yesterday. Damn.

  20. kmob181 kmob181 says:

Jumping on.  Morning Glories was a huge disappointment.  Hope this one delivers.

  21. trailofdead trailofdead says:

I love this book. It seems like the title divides people. I like the story, the art, the use of photos, everything. This book stands out for me.
