  1. Andrew Andrew says:

    Scalped, Scalped, SCALPED!

  2. Andrew Andrew says:

oooh, and The Lone Ranger!  Time to give that Butch Cavendish what fer!

  3. Tiocore Tiocore says:

I would love to be at NYCC. Hell, I don’t even care about the con, I’d just love to be in NY. Unfortunately, I will be in southern Cali. I wish Remender wrote characters I gave a shit about. I’m buying Uncanny X-Force to support him and Opena. Also, Scalped. Mmm….

  4. Power Girl, Secret Six and Irredeemable trades.

BQ: Would if I could, but alas there is an ocean of both water and wealth preventing me.

  5. OttoBott OttoBott says:

Holy cow, I had no idea The Outfit’s release was coming up and so soon too! Happy Birthday to me!

I’m also picking up the first issue of Remender and Opena’s Uncanny X-Force. I’ve never bought an X-Force comic and don’t really care for the premise of mutants in general, but I’ll be danged if Opena’s art doesn’t look amazing.

    BQ: Nope.

  6. BrianBaer BrianBaer says:

Just Avengers Academy and iZombie for me.

  7. Minion Minion says:

Brightest Day and Rebels are what I’m looking forward to this week.

    BQ No. dagnabbit.

  8. trobinson79 trobinson79 says:

Finally, a better week for books – Brightest Day, Uncanny X-Force, Chaos War, and American Vampire are my top picks for sure.

BQ: I’ll be there, but just for Saturday, representing the Comic Book Fury crew (i.e. myself, my friend, and maybe a monkey)

  9. Dan Dan says:

Nothing very outstanding this week – looking forward to American Vampire, Ultimate Thor, Scalped, Brightest Day, the Wrightson Batman book, Incorruptible, The Boys, Sweet Tooth – nothing ground shaking, but nothing awful, either.

BQ: No, thinking about going next year, maybe.

  10. ohcaroline ohcaroline says:

Avengers Academy, Young Allies, and Hawkeye & Mockingbird — my three favorite new-ish titles!

There are also TPBs of Irredeemable and Power Girl, and I have to decide which one I should get this week.  Plus, there’s a digest of "Thor and the Warriors Four" (Power Pack) which is really realyl fun; would be good for a kid but great for anybody.

BQ: I was going to but now I’m not :(   You all need to have extra fun for me!

  11. marcushill73 marcushill73 says:

Palooka Ville VOL 20 HC by Seth.

  12. RocketRacoon RocketRacoon says:

7 books this week, which seems to be the right number; most looking forward to Sweet Tooth, Uncanny X-Force, Aaron’s Wolverine, and Brightest Day 10. Hawkeye & Mockingbird are on dangerous ground so issue 5 better be good. Chaos War will be a game time decision, but I’ve soured on anything Herc related after Assault on New Olympus.

  13. Brightest Day, Uncanny X-Force looks and sounds really interesting…and that Power Girl Trade.

  14. RoiVampire RoiVampire says:

what a light week for me, can’t wait till tomorrows Light Week feature

  15. Avengers Academy #5
    Brightest Day #11
    Chaos War #1 (OF 5)
Richard Starks Parker The Outfit Hc – WOO HOO!!!
    Secret Six #26
    Shadowland Spider-Man Sl #1
    Shield #4
    Uncanny X-Force #1

    BQ:  Unfortunately, I am not.
  16. adrian adrian says:

Probably the biggest title on my pull list this week is the finale of Superman: Last Family of Krypton.  Here’s hoping some of my other books this week exceed my expectations and make it a good week.

  17. Patman2 Patman2 says:

Just Sweet Tooth, Hawkeye and Mockingbird, and American Vampire for me. Saving up for NYCC!!! But instead of the 3 day extraveganza I was planning it was dialed back to just saturday. But I still get to party hardy with the IFanboys! :)

  18. JimMcCann says:

Hawkeye & Mockingbird 5 is going to have a LOT of people talking, just sayin…

And if you’re at NYCC, swing by the Archaia booth for an Advance NYCC Limited Edition copy of RETURN OF THE DAPPER MEN!

  19. Patman2 Patman2 says:

  20. stuclach stuclach says:

    BQ: YES!

  21. powerdad powerdad says:

Wow, do I really only have ONE comic on my list.  Okay, well, then iZombie is the comic I’m looking forward to the most this week (and the least too, I suppose).

I guess I know which comic will be my Pick of the Week.

Life is so much easier when you’re picking up just one comic.

BQ: Nope, I’m not coming to the NYCC.  Everyone else have fun!

  22. odare77 says:

Gonna be expenSIVE…collections of Irredeemable, Starman and Power Girl. I would get The Outfit but my store bizarrely had it a week early and I already have it in my sweaty palms…mmmmm…so pretty.  Comics wise there’s lots, but most excited for Scalped, Unknown Soldier, X-Force, Chaos War, American Vamp and the CBLDF special (wasn’t that a POW last year?)

BQ:  No but I am going to NYC for the first time in a few weeks and can’t wait…

  23. looking forward to Avengers Academy, SHIELD, and seeing what Remender has in store for X-Force.  ultimately, I’m glad I have a light week because..

BQ: Yes, I am.  my first con ever!

  24. Slockhart Slockhart says:

Sheesh, 5 of my 9 books are delayed. My shop probably won’t order me any Sweet Tooth yet again, so I’m looking at a 3 book week.

  25. robbydzwonar robbydzwonar says:

I can’t believe how much MARVEL I am actually pulling this week!  Wolverine #2, Uncanny X-Force #1, Ultimate Comics Thor #1, AND Deadpool MAX #1!!  Wow!!

I’m gonna give Brightest Day another chance too.  I’ll have to track down #9 cuz I already dropped it once now.

  26. PozrDu PozrDu says:

After the WTF shock ending last month.  I can’t wait for Doom Patrol #15.

     BQ: Nope.

  27. Lots of new series/mini-series coming out for me. ALL Marvel….except for one Vertigo book.

    Chaos War #1, SHIELD #4, Sweet Tooth #14, Ultimate Thor #1, Uncanny X-Force #1

BQ: Sadly no. Work and massive amounts of homework to do.

  28. WheelHands WheelHands says:

Lame week for me. Lookin forward to Brightest Day.

BQ: F*CK YEAH! Ill see you at Bergen St. fanboys.

  29. Diabhol Diabhol says:

What an odd week; none of my big books are out. Still, I’m definitely looking forward to Taskmaster (probably my POW), Avengers Academy, Young Allies, and Shield. Also, looking forward to wrapping up Buffy.

  30. HailScott HailScott says:

Most psyched about Unknown Soldier and House of Mystery.

BQ: Just got my "ticket." What the dickens is up with the people at comicon- why do I have to bring this printout to a registration are to get my actual ticket? Who else in the world does not allow you to print ACTUAL tickets these days? Jerkasses. See you guys at Bergen St!

  31. MegaPhilip MegaPhilip says:

UNKNOWN SOLDIER!! Also looking forward to Sweet Tooth and Jason Aaron’s Ghost Rider whenever I get around to buying it, and every new issue of S.H.I.E.L.D. means the trade is that much closer to coming out.

    BQ: I flipping wish

  32. MegaPhilip MegaPhilip says:

Oh…how did I forget the CBLDF annual! and iZombie and the Spider-Man Shadowland Tie-In as well.

  33. @Andrew it’s nice to see somebody else mention Lone Ranger. That’s a great series. I actually haven’t read the last few yet, I tend to let them pile up the read a bunch all at once. but it’s always a great read.

Have 7 books this week. Most looking forward to Back in Quack! I love Howard the Duck.

BQ: Sadly, no. I have practically no money after bills are paid since having the baby. I had to cut my comics buying way back, I’m down to just the essentials. I went a few years ago and we had a blast. Need to go again!

  41. powerdad powerdad says:

I just listened to DON’T MISS, and now I might just have to pick up a copy of Chaos War. RICHARDS!!!  DAMN YOU AND THAT INTERESTING INTERVIEW!

Take a minute…well, take 18 minutes and listen to this week’s DON’T MISS. I enjoyed it, and honestly, I don’t usually care for these sort of "preview" shows. (Sorry, guys, I just usually don’t care for the Don’t Miss show…although I’ve really only missed a few of them. Strange, huh? I think when I like it, I really like it; and when I don’t, I really, really don’t. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents on this topic.)

  43. boomergirl boomergirl says:
