Mike Norton’s BATTLEPUG Gets Collected by Dark Horse

It all started on a little website…

A few years back, we went to our buddy Mike Norton, as good and talented a guys as you’re likely to meet, and asked if he wanted to do a shirt with us. He did, and Battlepug was born! We sold some shirts, the people were happy, and that was that.

But it wasn’t. Last year, Norton took the most enviable, snuffly nosed product he’d dreamed up, and started a webcomic called a “giant pug epic fantasy” to the great joy of the greater internet. Today that dream comes to print, as Dark Horse have announced Battlepug Volume 1, collecting the first year of Norton’s snores and snuffery tales into printed form, just as bulgy eyed and brachycephalic as you like.

To that we say two things. The first is, “great work Mike!” and the second is, “man we shoulda got a piece of that while we had the chance.”

The collection will be available in July 2012, but in the meantime, get thee to Battlepug.com and read the adventure now!

Comments

  1. NOICE. Battlepug is fun on a bun. Dark Horse seems to be scooping up all the A-List Webcomic collections.

  2. This is the greatest news in the history of man. I am more excited over this than the Watchmen cash grab.

  3. That pug is going to force me to buy this. Big goofy head.

  4. now i can finally read it!

    • Um. Why wait? You’re clearly using the the internet right now. The comic is RIGHT THERE.

    • i’ve tried but i forget about it easily. I know what i have to read because my books sit on my shelf or head board. I tried Rucka’s web comic and I read it once. I’d much rather have a physical book; digital and online just aren’t for me.

  5. haha I am TOTALLY getting this. I got the shirt when it was first announced and everyone of my comic friends loved it!!

  6. I was reading this on my desktop PC the other day and my 4yr old daughter ran in the room, took one look at the giant pug doing weird shit on my screen, and just exploded with laughter. All you need to know
