iFanboy at San Diego Comic-Con 2010!

San Diego Comic-Con is upon us!

Beginning this Wednesday July 21st through Sunday July 25th, hundreds of thousands of people will be descending on the beautiful city of San Diego for comics, movies, television, video games and all the other forms of entertainment that can be crammed in that ever growing convention center.

The iFanboy crew, as we have for the past 9 years (minus 2003), will be at Comic-Con in full force! We'll be there shooting for our show, iFanboy, but in addition to that there will be a bunch of events and happenings where you can come meet us and hang out.

This year there will be a passel of iFanboy staffers on-hand! In addition to Josh, Conor, Ron and Gordon The Intern, staff writers Molly McIsaac, Mike Romo, Ben Simpson and Ryan Haupt will all be in attendance!

We've met a ton of great people in San Diego over the years and we hope to meet all of you this year!

Podcasters appearing on the panel include John Siuntres  (Word Balloon), Josh Flanagan (iFanboy), Jimmy Aquino (Comic News Insider), Brian "Pants" Christman (Comic Geek Speak), Bob Bretall (The Comic Book Page), and Cameron Hatheway (Cammy's Comic Corner). Don't miss your chance to see all your favorite podcasters on one panel! Room 32AB

iFANBOY MEETUP AT THE LIVE DIGGNATION

Like last year, we'll be joining our friends from Diggnation and The Totally Rad Show for a meet/drinkup!

When?
Thursday – 7/22
7:30-11:00pm

Where?
House of Blues – San Diego

1055 5th Avenue

You can RSVP for the party here, though it's not mandatory — we just like to see who's coming!

NOTE: The maximum capacity for The House of Blues is 1,000 people so try to get there as early as you can. We don't think the party will go over capacity, but better safe than sorry.

Comments

  1. Go to Hodad’s while your there. I was there over the weekend. Great burgers.

  2. @MayorMitch100: We absolutely will.

  3. @conor The last time I was there I forgot to get a milkshake. I regret it. But damn if those burgers aren’t some of the best I’ve eaten. If you ever find yourself in Huntington Beach go to TK Burger. It might be better than Hodad’s.

  4. lal ok i keep re-reading…the meetup is the night of the live diggnation (thurs), right?

but below it says Friday, and then 7/24 (which is Saturday)

    am i retarded?

  5. It’s Thursday.

  6. In that case, ill see you there!

  7. Squeeze with cheese babay.

  8. Hope to see you guys there!

  9. Hmm, Ive never been to that comic shop (On Comic Ground?) before, but then again downtown is like all the way on the other side of town so I dont see myself going there soon.

  10. I can’t believe you guys linked to that picture. I probably won’t even be drunk on the con floor. Probably.

  11. Avatar photo Molly McIsaac (@MollyMcIsaac) says:

Truefact that the photograph of me only perpetuates: I don’t actually have a mouth.

  12. I can’t wait to meet up with everyone again this year. Hope I can sneak away from my duties for awhile to see the show, too. (I’m going to Comic Con for work, but, hey, I’m going to Comic Con for work!)

  13. Awesome! Drop by my table at Comic-Con, I’ll make sure you guys get some books.

  14. No paul this year? Start walking now!

  15. Updated with more creator signing infor for our booth.

  16. Updated the signing schedule with even more creators.

  17. If you guys can, PLEASE get an interview with one of these nutjobs.

  18. Updated with map location for our booth.

  19. Sweet location for your booth – smack dab in the center of the action. Have a great time!

  20. PLEASE interview the nutjobs!!!

  21. Honestly, fuck them. I wouldn’t give them an ounce more attention, because they deserve to be ignored. Hatemonger bigot assholes. We’re talking about comics!

  22. Those "nutjobs" actually made me laugh out loud. Thanks for posting the link; made my day.

Josh is right though: They’re only after attention, and it’s best to just ignore them.

  23. re: nutjobs

    Highfather loves iFanboy

  24. I was kidding about asking for an interview.  Just a new angle on the SDCC scene.

  25. Hmm… right next to sideshow, so how much room are you saving in your suitcases.

  26. @DarkKnightDetective OnComic Ground is in North Park.

  27. Now that I’ve seen where the booth is, I really am depressed not to be there.

  28. I hope everyone enjoys SDCC this year.  I hope to see you at NYCC.

  29. Bummed can’t make the meet up.  It was a blast last year.

  30. Dammit!!! I want to be there!! specially now you guys get people to sign stuff and that meetup party. May be next year.

So Paul is not going to SDCC? Or he’s gonna get there by walking? Would like to see him at SDCC someday.

  31. Have fun at San Diego everyone!  Man, I can’t believe you guys have a booth right in the heart of it all.  That’s flippin’ awesome.

  32. This all looks so cool!  The location of the booth is fantabulous!  Have a great time, guys.  Don’t wear out your feet.  Film lots of footage.  Geek out!

    iSteve

  33. Hope the meetup went well for everyone. I’m looking forward to seeing some quality pics.
