Name: Richie Gastelum

Bio: I'm a casual comics fan that is at the local shop almost every Wednesday morning with my tin hat and a brain full of caffeine thoughts. My current favorite book is Omega the Unknown (now wrapped up) of which i love all aspects. I guess I tend to enjoy books that explore the strange and seldom traveled avenues of fiction but on occasion do appreciate the odd talking gorilla and explosion.

Having read all but two of the issues, All Star Superman #12 left me with a feeling that i can't describe although i can say that i now know what it feels like to be cracked. Maybe i should just lock myself in a padded room, curl up in the fetal position with my stack of Marvel comics and cry for mommy.

Grant Morrison? MOMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

September 19, 2008 4:08 am All i have to say is that the brothers Luna are BADASS! Okay, i lied. Stretching out a fight for over three issues eschewing dialog for quiet tension moved me more than a comic has all....week. I have to clarify by saying that this is a feat. The last page had me clutching at my non-existant phantom limbs with one hand and waving an imaginary sword with the other. Love it. BADASS!

I checked both of my favorite shops around L.A. and nuthin'! No ECHO. Must be those dreaded shipping gremlins.

As long as i'm writing words i may as well chime in and say that i lovelovelove this book even without having read Terry Moore comics before. The story unfolds naturally without feeling limited by the format and the art, Oh my god! If you are a human and do not fall in love with Mr. Moore's images, you are probably not a human. You are probably dead.

'Nuff said.

May 14, 2008 6:20 am  I must admit that i quite like this book in spite of the fact that it seems to suffer from a sort of dated narrative style. It seems to simultaneously tell a story that reminds me of my younger days and tell it in that watered down "hey look at me rip off John Hughes!...oh, and it's the mid-nineties!" kind of way. Jeez, now i feel like a right bastard.  Anyway, i did quite enjoy last issues wild night of excess and the all too familiar falling for the wrong girl stuff. Later.
