March 24, 2012 8:25 pm The reason why writers have a hard time making it enticing is becuz they really don't know the essence of the character...if they did, they'd be able to find an interesting niche that would intrigue everyone. All the writers you've mentioned really sucked at doing Wonder Woman. I happened to have reviewed their work just over a year ago. Only Straczynski held the keys to intrigue...from there, you can expand. JMS did what he did becuz it was necessary...to inform disappointed fans that no matter what incarnation she takes, as long as she retains her core, she'll always be the true Wonder Woman. and I think Azzarello fed offa the foundation that Straczynski laid out. And you mentioning the SIDEBOOB was just FINE! Don't be a wussy, dammit!! **COMMENT MODERATED**
March 24, 2012 8:20 pm And in order to get that "magic wonder", the Pilot just needed to include Wonder Woman's original THEMES and concepts. Those were the vital things missing. I could careless about the details of the outfit or lasso...those are secondary. --Brett Jett
March 24, 2012 8:17 pm As a Wonder Woman expert & connoisseur, I had high hopes for this show as a way to explore a facet of Wonder Woman that hardly gets explored in the other mediums...her personal life, and the humorous aspect of her mythos. Namely the sexual themes...bondage, etc. And a comedy drama is a great way to present it all! Plus a combo of action...hey...you got yourself a winner. But after seeing the Pilot, it was disappointing to see that it didn't live up to that expectation. What needs to happen is David E Kelley come read all my Wonder Woman articles, do his homework on Wonder Woman, then reconsider the angle he wants to take, then try again!!
