November 12, 2012 3:53 am Ron, just to let you know, A Wrinkle in Time was represented in a made for TV movie on ABC a number of years ago by Disney. It was....okay. I will most likely pick up the graphic novel for my kids sometime soon.
October 31, 2012 5:24 am I dunno, I don't see this as disheartening news. It may be time for younger, fresher eyes to take a look at the franchise and be able to pull some really cool stories out of it to bring to film. New directors for each film, kind of like the Bond movies. I can see this is the direction that Disney is thinking. I really can't make any judgment until I see what they produce. I remain optimistic.
October 26, 2012 10:27 pm Wow. That's a good looking preview. Dean White is KILLING it on art and with Klaus it's making Romita Jr's work look amazing. As a huge fan of the artist, I was falling out of favor with Romita Jr these last few years. There was just something about his work that wasn't connecting with me. His run on Amazing was, well...amazing, but, after that, it seemed he was tired or something, his work started to look kind of 'noodly'. But man or man does it look like he's hitting the ground running with this book. Very impressed.
October 13, 2012 8:11 pm If you can't wait once a week to see AWESOME Scalero artwork, peep out his DeviantArt page. It's glorious. http://matteoscalera.deviantart.com/ He and Sean Murphy totally get my jealous praise for their phenomenal ink work. Glory!
September 26, 2012 5:48 pm MisterShaw is right. Kingpin started in ASM as a Spidey villian and made the move over to DD later.
August 28, 2012 7:30 pm @mikegraham6 I remember seeing that image in one of the issues of the Jack Kirby Collector Magazine. It was the issue that displayed most of his pencil only work. Pretty astonishing stuff.
August 12, 2012 6:26 pm I'm pretty sure Joe Kubert also created the anaglyph 3D comic. Loved most of his Tarzan stuff. The guy could ink like nobody's business. It's weird, cause you know when someone gets on in age that there will be a passing, but, with living legends, it just doesn't seem possible. Here's to you Joe! In your honor, I'll dig out all my old Sgt. Rocks!
July 31, 2012 7:22 pm Yeah, I've been watching this guy on my Deviant Art page and get all his updates. The guy is a machine. Very good, very strong gesture and inkwork. Can't wait to see what's to come. It's kinda of neat to come to iFanboy and see them present an artist I've been watching for a year or more. It's almost like an affirmation of my tastes. Or just great comic book synchronicity.
July 25, 2012 12:34 am That's some amazing talent and skill there. His use of pantomime and 'camera' angles in those Superman pages are really awesome. Very inspiring stuff.
July 21, 2012 2:28 am Love me some Carl Barks! The mayor here in Portland, OR is named Sam Adams. Huh...no wonder nothing ever gets done.
