March 15, 2011 1:30 pm A week ago the news was that it was Loki tricking the Skrulls into invading Earth, can't remember where I read that...could all be misdirection. I believe the only thing Joss Whedon has said himself is that it will be Starlin-esque and that if we want some idea where he's going with it we need to look at the Adam Warlock and Captain Marvel stuff - but I think that's more to do with the Avengers team dynamic than who the bog bads will be.

The only thing that confuses me is that it's not shooting yet and apparently is concrete for release May 2012. It's going to be tight!

Marvel doesn't even know how Avengers will do yet, and they're already saying "we won't do that again!"...? Really? 

Sorry that's not how the world works. In the event it's immensely successful, of course they'll do it again. Why would they already be acting like it's failed when it hasn't even shot a frame?

March 3, 2011 3:18 pm Gawd I'm going to get jumped all over here, but what sort of proof is there that this 5/6 year old writes Axe Cop? There's something I can't put my finger on that seems quite contrived about it, like this is what someone would write if they were trying to write like a kid. (Someone talented, more talented than me, sure.) Is he being heavily "influenced" or fed stuff by his older brother? And if not how do we know that? I know everyone's going mad over it and I DO see the appeal just...like I said there's a whiff of something not right.

Remember when that guy got famous for talking about zombie hamsters and vampire rabbits in his sleep? I had the same feeling then, it was contrived random, it wasn't real sleeptalking random, that can't be faked as it's considerably weirder. I dunno.

February 23, 2011 2:17 pm @Jesse1125 I actually read Death of the New Gods a while ago when I borrowed it from the library. At the time I knew very little about DC continuity and it's quite...involved...but somehow I followed it and found it a totally riveting read.
