the thing about Battle Royale, which is pretty rare, is the movie is far superior to the comic.  Course, the movie was made first and the comic was made to make money off of the success of the movie, but there is just so much the comic missed/changed about the characters. and the story that it falls way short of what the movie has to offer.

Pick up the movie, you will not be dissapointed.  Watch you don't get the sequel though, that is pretty bad.
