I am firmly in the “I like the Bendis Avengers” camp. The amount of critical scrutiny that accompanies ever issue…

March 4, 2011 1:53 pm I love the re-curring, "where do I start?" question. I totally understand where this comes from and I even ask it myself when ever I start noticing a new character or creator. It does say something interesting about comics readers that many of us have this fear of being left out of the loop.  What is that? As Josh said, the best advice is to just dive in.
February 9, 2011 1:05 pm I don't know guys. I deal with space pirates every day and I am constantly sending memos to HR regarding sexual insults I receive from those same space pirates. Maybe Dead Echo affiliates should realize that in this new intergalactic confederation, they are all under far more scrutiny, and often looked up to as role models by future space pirates. Just because someone has a ginat gun and exists in a fantasy world does not mean they get a free pass.
February 9, 2011 12:59 pm What is your personal history with the character Moon Knight? I have heard you briefly mention Moon Knight and Bill Sienkiewicz in other interviews. What struck you most about the character and the creators working on Moon Knight when you were a young reader and aspiring creator?

What josh said.

February 5, 2011 2:05 pm I'll take a swing at this dead horse. The direct market can be criticized objectively because it does not always make good businesses sense. Anything that makes the consumer have to work to find your product is detrimental to selling that product. If I want a book from Barnes & Noble, it will probably be there. If it's not, the customer service representative can easily get it for me. They have worked to make it easy for me because they want my business. If the way comics are distributed makes it hard for any consumer to buy them, then the industry will continue to stagnate. The medium will persist. No consumer is obligated to prop up a failing business model and no value judgments can be made about those who consumers. No one is lazy.
January 26, 2011 4:07 pm Knowledge dropped. Great breakdown Mr Wood.
July 24, 2010 3:07 pm Well, I guess I better get caught up on this whole Red Hulk thing because I am totally picking up this book. FYI, if it says Parker/Hardman on it, I will but it.
July 14, 2010 8:18 pm Great analysis once again Mr. Wood.
July 5, 2010 2:13 pm Jimski, you have outdone yourself. I totally sang that whole thing out loud here at work.
